12 weeks Old

Elizabeth had her first weekend away from her parents, and she did wonderfully. She stayed with Mimi and B.B. and was very well behaved. We then had a photo shoot after coming back home. She continues to be a wonderful baby!

Christmas Photos

Look who has started smiling!

Elizabeth has been able to meet a lot of her relatives in the past few weeks. Relatives have come to visit, and she traveled with us to Charleston for Christmas and then up to Jonesville the day after. She did great and slept most of the way in the car, which was a total of 1,200 miles. Needless to say we are glad to be home, but know everyone appreciated us bringing her by for a visit. Here are a few pictures of everyone meeting Elizabeth.

Elizabeth's great uncle, Larry from northern Virginia brought his family down for a visit.

Here is Elizabeth with her cousin, Rachel.

Elizabeth's cousin, Aiden, had her 2nd birthday party. Elizabeth got to meet even more of her relatives at the party. Here she is with her cousin, Joanne.

Here is Elizabeth with her cousin, Warren, at Aiden's party.

On our way from Charleston we stopped at cousin Lauren's house so she and Aunt CC could meet Elizabeth

Here is Elizabeth with her Aunt CC

Aunt CC and Lauren are quite enamored with her

After our stop in Columbia we traveled up the road so Elizabeth could meet her granddad in Spartanburg

We then journeyed up the road to Bluff City, TN where she met her granddad, Daddy Bill, and Nona

Here she is with Nona and her cousin, Blake

Her other cousin, Coral, thought she was wonderful

Elizabeth got to meet DeeDee when we finally arrived to Jonesville

Once we arrived home she was quite tired and fell asleep in her swing.

On New Year's Day the Hokies played in the Orange Bowl. Here we are ready to watch the game at home

Christmas in Roanoke

This past weekend we had Christmas in Roanoke. It was the first time Elizabeth g0t to meet her great-grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had a wonderful time. The house was quite chaotic, which none of us Akers are used to. Having a 4 year old, 14 month old, 16 month old, and 6 week old all together kept everyone quite busy. Elizabeth did great on the 3 hour car ride and slept the entire way. Here are a few shots from the weekend.

Here we are at Mimi and B.B.'s

Elizabeth's great-grandmother, Nanny, holds her for the first time.

Dawn, James, Drew, and Parker get their picture taken.

Dan, Sara, and Lila in front of the tree. Lila is smiling and having a great time in this picture.

Here is an attempt to have all the grandchildren with Nanny. As you can see, things didn't go so well.

And a hilarious video of Elizabeth's cousin Parker getting Punk'd by his Grandfather BB.

Christmas Time

It's almost Christmas and Elizabeth had best get used to being all dolled up and having her photo taken. Here are some of our favorites that have been taken over the last couple of days. Elizabeth's MiMi and B.B. both just happened to be visiting for a conference here in Richmond and I know they are happy to get so spend as much time as possible with us....well, with Elizabeth that is.

Some More photos

Little Elizabeth is gaining weight and doing great. At her 1 month appointment last Wednesday, November 26th - she weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces. She has had a couple of nights where she has slept for a 5 hour stretch, which her mommy is very happy about. She is in the 25th percentile for her height and the 10th percentile in weight. She is seeming to be a petite little lady.

Some more photos of her are below:
